GILLA
GILLA was built in Bremen in 1950 by Henry Gruber, one of the most famous German designers.
The hull is in classic planking with teak hull and mahogany walls.
Several Atlantic crossings last in the 70s, where he remained until 2000, based in Newport RI. During this time successfully participated in the Antigua Classic Week twice. It was bought by the current owner in 2000 and brought back to Italy where in 2003 it received a total refit and restoration at Fano shipyards.
Present in several many AIVE meetings in the Adriatic, showing qualities of excellent upwind boat .
In 2024 participates in the meetings “Vele Storiche Viareggio” and “Argentario Sailing Week”, in autumn will be again at home in Fano at Marina dei Cesari.
