SWAN 51-001 BARRACUDA
Hull #001 of the iconic Swan 51 series, “Barracuda” represents a rare chance to acquire a pedigree Germán Frers cruiser-racer with a fully documented refit history. A new teak deck and Awlgrip topsides were fitted in 2012; between 2016 and 2017 the yacht received new rod rigging, a Volvo D2-75 engine showing only 180 hours, and a complete Furuno electronics upgrade. The refreshed teak interior features LED lighting and soft leather upholstery, offering an aft owner’s cabin, midship twin bunks and a convertible V-berth forward, served by two heads.
With 7.5 t of ballast and a 2.70 m draft the boat delivers ocean-going stability and spirited performance, while the new folding propeller minimises drag under sail. An Opacmare hydraulic passarelle, Webasto reverse-cycle air-conditioning and a comprehensive sail inventory (Dacron, Kevlar, multiple spinnakers and gennaker) make “Barracuda” equally suited to blue-water cruising or offshore racing. VAT-paid, Belgian-flagged and lying in San Remo, the yacht is available for immediate inspection and presents a highly competitive option in the quality blue-water market.
