COMET 62 RS
Comet 62 RS launched in 2008 and comprehensively refitted between 2019 and 2024, blends raised-saloon comfort with genuine performance pedigree. The epoxy hull—now finished in metallic grey—carries a new teak deck and carbon structural reinforcements; a 2024 Yanmar 250 hp main engine with feathering propeller brings mechanical hours back to near-zero.
Key upgrades include:
Carbon mast and custom carbon bowsprit with hydraulic in-boom furling mainsail, renewed rod rigging and four electric winches—race-level handling for a shorthanded crew;
Completely restyled interior by Marco Casali: open saloon, Alcantara upholstery, LED lighting and six new hull windows for abundant natural light;
Garmin glass-bridge electronics, twin radars, AIS and refreshed sensors;
Twin generators (12 kW & 6 kW), dual 200 l/h water-makers, reverse-cycle air-conditioning and a retractable bow-thruster serviced 2025.
Accommodation features three double en-suite guest cabins plus a crew cabin with its own head, while a hydraulic swim platform and carbon passerelle streamline boarding and tender operations.
